The year is drawing to a close and health information management professionals are starting to look ahead to 2022. It’s no secret that 2021 brought its share of challenges: the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the healthcare space and new industry regulations are pending for release of information. In spite of these challenges, there’s always something exciting on the horizon. We interviewed several ScanSTAT team members to find out what they’re looking forward to in 2022.
“We at ScanSTAT look forward to continuing to make things easier for everyone in 2022. Our focus is to ensure that patients and providers benefit from the timeliness and accuracy of our services. We invest significantly in training and support for our Release of Information and HIM Services Specialists so that they have the knowledge, support and capacity to ensure timely and accurate processing of medical record requests, document filing, forms completion, and all of our services.”
– Matthew Rohs, President & CEO
“We are excited to start utilizing a software platform from Compliance Pro in 2022. This provides enhanced features with regard to risk assessments, impermissible disclosures and a vast reference library. As we grow we are always looking for ways to improve and better serve our clients.”
– Lindsey Miles, HIPAA Privacy Analyst
“I think 2022 will be a great year for our suite of health information management services. Not enough providers know that we can assist with inbound document management, and that’s one area in particular that tends to be a pain point for hospitals. This year we grew our team significantly and I think we’ll continue to see that growth as healthcare providers recognize the benefit of partnering with a vendor to support HIM administrative tasks.”
– Kristen Loney, Vice President of Client Services
“I’m looking forward to continuing to support our team in their efforts to share ScanSTAT’s different service lines. While release of information is what we’re most recognized for, we offer an entire suite of HIM services including inbound document management, prior authorizations, referrals management, insurance verification, vaccine paperwork management, and so on. Whatever a hospital, health system or clinic needs help with, we can do it. My team is excited to be able to meet with more folks to discuss how we can support their specific HIM needs in 2022.”
– John Cirino, Senior Director of Sales Operations
“A new year means a new chapter. I hope 2022 is an incredible part of our story. I’m grateful for all the hard work and dedication my team has created this year and will carry through the new year. One thing I’m excited to see in 2022 is the continued strength of our client partnerships. I truly feel like part of the family with our clients, and I’m proud of all the hard work Region 8 team member have done to ensure a strong relationship with our clients, they have taken care of the clients to the best of our ability. I look forward to seeing these relationships grow more in the coming new year.”
– Jessica Baez, Regional Director of Client Services
“I am excited that we are entering 2022 with such a talented team of Release of Information professionals. Our team did an outstanding job throughout all the challenges of the past two years and we’re ready to take on 2022! We introduced a successful productivity initiative and a new automation technology this year which is helping our team become more efficient and focused on our clients and the patients they serve. We’re just getting started and I look forward to further demonstrating how we make ROI easier for everyone in the new year.”
